Once again, AATIA member and eminent Russian literary translator Marian Schwartz is in the news. She has recently won the 2009 AATSEEL Award for Best Translation into English for her rendition of White Guard, by Mikhail Bulgakov (Yale University Press, 2008).  The ceremony was held on Monday, December 28, at the AATSEEL (American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages) meeting in Philadelphia. Congratulations to Marian from all her fans at AATIA and beyond.
